It has been quite educational to travel with the local group and see what things are different and what is the same as a MOA trip and it has really highlighted to me how much we take for granted in the MOA in contrast to this fledgling group of local Mokes.

The main event for the MOA this month is the International Moke Day display down at Docklands on Sunday the 27th of September. Lee Thomson has worked hard in organising this prime display area that is a great opportunity for MOA to put on a showing of Mokes and I hope as many people as possible come along to support the event and show the non-memebrs why they should join the MOA.

For IMD down Geelong way members Luke and Laurie Patterson are organising a run around the Bellarine Pennisula for the local Mokes down that way and Roger Bektash has another day drive around the mountain areas of North East Victoria planned. Over in Western Australia, member Bridget H. is getting the WA Mokes together for a run to the pub for lunch from Perth.

Elsewhere in Tracks you should find two articles about the new initiatives that Kevin O'Dwyer and Gavin Skaines are managing for the club in way of a Member Matching service and the 12 month events calendar.

And in finishing, up I would to thank the people at the September General Meeting who graciously participated in the somewhat un-traditional format of the meeting and the positive feedback that people offered. Obviously the Tasmanian gourmet sausage rolls might have something to do with it but it was pleasing to see the hall full of people after the meeting standing around talking Mokes until 10pm.
