Farina Bakery Run

The South Australian Moke Club has invited us to join them on a run to Farina Bakery which is an old underground bakery est. around 1882. The bakery operates from late May until end July. It is run by volunteers and all money raised is used for restoration of the Farina township. Farina Township ruins are about 25km from Lyndhurst at the start of the Oodnadatta Track. This section of the track is now sealed as far as Maree, so no dirt.

The trip is around 8 days for the S.A. group but for anyone Melbourne based add a few days. It will include some touring in the Flinders Ranges including some very interesting roads and things like Kanyaka ruins and Glass Gorge to Blinman. (some of this will be unsealed but good roads).

If you would like further information contact Jill Whatmore 0429 062 192 or Colin Francis S.A.M.C. 0477 051 812
